For home-service shops not advertising yet
Not running Meta ads yet? Start with the teardown, not the spend.
Meta’s Ad Library shows every ad your competitors are running right now — free to look at, expensive to ignore. The readiness audit grades their ads, checks whether your pages and tracking are ready, and prices your entry against the benchmark, before your first dollar goes to Meta.

56% of small businesses now advertise on social media (LocaliQ, October 2025) — more than use search ads. In home services, the shops in your geo are already in the auction.

56%
of small businesses now advertise on social media — more than use search ads. Paid social is the majority behavior, not the experiment.
$42.95
average cost per lead for home-improvement advertisers on Meta — the benchmark every Jobflow audit measures against, labeled a benchmark and never a promise.
48 hours
from intake to a scored audit in your inbox — the delivery window the refund stands behind, not a results timeline.
40%
of small-business agency engagements end in a switch or a discontinuation — and 60% of that churn cites lack of ROI. Shops fire agencies that cannot show the numbers.
Benchmarks and survey figures: WordStream/LocaliQ 2026 ad benchmarks; LocaliQ Small Business Marketing Trends Report, October 2025; vcita survey of 500 US small-business owners, April 2025. Figures describe the market, never a client’s results.
The problem
The water heater dies at 9 p.m. The first name she sees is not yours.
Urgent home-service jobs go to the shop that is visible at the moment of need. Your competitors are buying that visibility now — and their ads are public.
She searches, she scrolls, and the shop whose ad has been running all month gets the call. That is not a branding exercise; in home services the job is urgent, the ticket is real, and the auction runs every day whether you are in it or not. Meanwhile your competitors’ hooks, offers, and formats sit in the Ad Library, free for anyone to study — including you, if someone does the studying.
The mistake is not waiting. The mistake is entering blind: boosting a post with no tracking, no landing page that matches the ad, and no idea what a lead should cost in your trade. That is how first budgets die, and how owners conclude ‘ads don’t work for us’ — the same lack-of-ROI story behind 60% of agency churn (vcita, April 2025), except self-inflicted.
Grade their ads first. Then decide what your entry costs.
- Free to checkThe Ad Library is public. Your competitors’ current ads — hooks, offers, formats — are visible today, before you spend anything.
- $1,500/moThe spend floor for the retainer, stated up front. If that budget is not real yet, the audit says what to build first instead of taking a fee.
- 48 hoursFrom intake to a readiness verdict: their ads graded, your gaps listed, your entry priced against the benchmark.
What the management layer costs, four ways
Entering ads has a management cost whichever route you take. The difference is whether the plan exists before the spend does — here is the market, modeled from published ranges.
| Route | Published cost | Who does the work |
|---|---|---|
| Stay out entirely | $0 in fees | Nobody grades their ads or prices your entry; the moment of need goes to whoever is in the auction. |
| Freelance ads manager | $750–$2,500/mo | A generalist, usually across many industries. Benchmark discipline and reporting depth vary by person. |
| Generalist agency retainer | $500–$5,000/mo | Your shop is one vertical among many. Home services is not the specialty, and juniors usually run the account. |
| Jobflow Media | $497 once, then $1,000/mo | Home services only. The audit first, the 12 fixes implemented, every ad pre-approved by you, a checkpoint in writing at day 90. |
Modeled from published ranges — freelance paid-ads retainers of $750–$2,500/mo (Upwork pricing page, September 2026) and freelance/agency retainers of $500–$5,000/mo (vcita survey, April 2025). Market ranges, not quotes; any quote you hold will differ. Jobflow’s prices are the live prices on this page.
How it works
Four steps. Two of them are yours, and both are short.
The audit runs on a published clock — the same clock the delivery SOP runs for every client.
-
You buy the audit
Checkout, then a short email intake — your trade and your service area. No ad account is needed; the readiness version of the audit is built for shops that have never advertised.
-
Hours 0–12: their ads, your readiness
Every active ad from 5–8 competitors in your trade and geo comes out of the Ad Library, graded on hook, offer, format, and CTA. In parallel, the readiness check runs on you: privacy policy, landing page, tracking, Business Manager — the things Meta’s reviewers and your future customers will hit first.
-
Hours 12–48: the entry plan, delivered
Scored PDF + 5-minute walkthrough: what their ads are doing, what your gaps are, and 12 prioritized fixes ranked by impact — the pre-spend list, each tagged do it yourself or we implement this. Late means refunded, in full.
-
Enter when ready — or don’t
Fix the list yourself, or the retainer implements it and launches your campaigns on a 90-day prove-it term. If the audit says you are not ready, that is the answer you paid for, and it just saved you a first budget.
No sales call, no intake call. Checkout, a short email intake, and the clock starts.
The audit
What the $497 buys, item by item
A fixed scope, priced once. If it is not in this list, it is not in the audit — and the audit’s last page is the only pitch for what comes next.
- Competitor Ad Library teardown, firstEvery active ad from the shops bidding for your homeowners — hook, offer, creative format, CTA, graded. You see exactly what your first ads have to beat.
- The readiness auditThe 12-point check, run as a readiness teardown: privacy policy in place, a landing page that can match an ad, tracking that could be installed cleanly, Business Manager readiness, offer strength, speed-to-lead path for the leads ads would send.
- Benchmark entry pricingWhat a lead costs in your trade before you buy one: the $42.95 home-services benchmark (WordStream/LocaliQ 2026), labeled a benchmark — the number your first budget gets planned against.
- 12 prioritized fixesYour pre-spend list, ranked by impact: what must exist before ads run, what can follow, each tagged do-it-yourself or we-implement.
- The 5-minute walkthroughTheir ads and your gaps, in plain words, on video. No call to schedule before you are allowed to know the findings.
- An honest ‘not yet’If your pages, tracking, or budget are not ready, the audit says so and sequences the fixes. Selling you a retainer you cannot use yet is how agencies earn the churn statistic.
What we never do
- Guarantee a cost per lead, a ROAS, a lead count, or revenue. Ever — the ban is in writing.
- Hold, fund, pre-pay, or route your ad spend. You pay Meta directly, from your own account.
- Launch an ad you have not pre-approved — copy and creative, every time, no exceptions.
- Ask for your Facebook password, your personal login, or your card details. Partner access only.
- Take an account under the $1,500/mo spend floor, or outside home services. Below the floor the math cannot work, and we will tell you so instead of taking the fee.
These are structural, not slogans — the spend separation and the pre-approval rule are written into the services agreement.
The checkable details
For the skeptic who verifies before buying
Exact deliverables, the platforms the work runs on, the timelines, the limits, and what this is not — in one place, before the pricing.
Method & platforms
- Meta Ad LibraryPublic record. Every teardown — yours and your competitors’ — is graded from ads anyone can see.
- Your Business Manager, by partner accessAccount work happens in your account, under scoped partner permissions. Never your personal login, never your card.
- Assisted research, human judgmentResearch and report drafts are AI-assisted and operator-reviewed. Strategy, approvals, and compliance calls are the operator’s.
- Every number labeledFigures in any report are labeled benchmark, observed, or confirmed by you. Nothing blends into a “typical result.”
What you receive
- The audit (one-time)Scored PDF + 5-minute walkthrough video + 12 prioritized fixes, delivered within 48 hours of intake.
- The retainer (monthly)The 12 fixes implemented in the first 30 days; campaigns rebuilt and managed; new creative every 2 weeks, at least 4 hooks or angles per cycle.
- ReportingA weekly 5-minute video report and a monthly written report: spend, cost per lead, lead count, and booked-job estimates you confirm.
- Speed-to-lead helpWe help set up sub-5-minute first contact for new leads — scripts, routing, notifications. Part of the product, not a bonus.
The limits
- Home services onlyPlumbing, HVAC, electrical, roofing, lawn and pest, cleaning — for the first 90 days and until case studies say otherwise.
- $1,500/mo spend floorThe retainer requires at least $1,500/mo in ad spend, paid by you to Meta. Below the floor the fee eats the budget, and we decline.
- 6 audits a monthThe cap is what keeps 48-hour delivery real. When the month fills, the audit reopens the next month.
- One operatorJobflow is a solo practice. Capacity is the constraint, and it is stated instead of hidden.
Timelines, in writing
- Hours 0–12Ad Library pull — your ads plus 5–8 local competitors — and the 12-point check runs.
- Hours 12–48Scored PDF drafted, walkthrough recorded, audit delivered. Day-3 and day-7 check-ins follow delivery.
- Days 1–30 of the retainerThe audit’s 12 fixes implemented; campaigns rebuilt under partner access.
- Day 90The written checkpoint: your cost per lead against the ceiling agreed at sale. Miss it, and the exit terms apply exactly as priced on this page.
What we are not
Not a lead guarantee — no cost per lead, ROAS, lead count, or revenue is promised, anywhere, ever. Not a website builder (we review landing pages and recommend; we don’t rebuild them). Not Google Ads or any other platform yet. Not organic social management — that is a separate service, and we will point you to it rather than bundle it. And never your bank: ad spend never passes through us.
Who stands behind it
Jobflow Media, operated by Ruben Olaverria (Chitico HQ), 2041 Jefferson Dr, Port Arthur, TX 77642. Questions before you buy: chiticohq@zohomail.com — the same inbox the work is delivered from. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card number.
Pricing
Two prices. Both on the page, both total.
The audit is $497 once — about a third of the first month’s spend floor — and it prices the entry before the entry prices you. The retainer is published in full for when the readiness list is done.

Ad spend is never part of either price: you pay Meta directly, from your own account, on your own card.

Questions
The objections worth answering in writing
I have never run ads. Is an audit useful before I start?
That is exactly the version you are buying: a paid-ad readiness teardown. Instead of scoring an existing account, it grades your competitors’ live ads and checks whether your site, tracking, and setup could support ads at all — then ranks the 12 fixes between you and a sane first campaign.
How much do I have to spend on ads themselves?
For the retainer, at least $1,500/mo, paid by you directly to Meta — below that, a $1,000/mo fee eats the budget and we decline, in writing, with the reasons. The audit itself requires no ad spend and no ad account; it tells you whether that floor makes sense for your trade and geo yet.
Can’t I just boost a post?
You can, and Meta will happily take the money. Boosting buys reach with no conversion tracking, no landing-page match, and no benchmark to judge the result against — the three gaps behind most ‘ads don’t work’ stories. The audit exists so your first real campaign is not a boosted post with a bigger budget.
Do I need a Facebook page and a Business Manager first?
To run ads, yes — and the readiness audit checks what exists today and lists exactly what is missing, in order. Nothing needs to be built before the audit; creating and verifying the accounts is part of retainer onboarding, under your ownership, with partner access for us.
What if the audit says I am not ready?
Then you have a sequenced fix list and a saved first budget — the audit did its job. Fix the items yourself over time, or start the retainer when the list is done. There is no clock and no obligation; the document does not expire.
Will you run my ads for me afterward?
Yes — that is the retainer: the 12 fixes implemented, campaigns built in your own account, every ad pre-approved by you before it runs, weekly reporting, and the day-90 checkpoint against the ceiling agreed at sale. No guaranteed cost per lead — the guarantee is the work, the measurement, and the exit.
See their ads before you buy your own.
